One of the K20 engine’s few shortcomings is the cam chain tensioner, which is subject to failure allowing the cam timing to jump, and would result in severe engine damage. Here at CPL Racing we have seen this happen on completely stock vehicles, and not just those that are modified. The Toda Racing Heavy Duty Cam Chain Tensioner is an excellent insurance policy to help prevent such damage.
